As a residential care home we are facing particular challenges in this season as we care for the whole of the St John’s Community. This includes our residents, their families and the staff that look after them. We are following government and professional guidance to help us care well and support one another through this pandemic.
We know that for our residents and their families this period of separation is particularly difficult. Families, we massively value your prayers, support and encouragement. If there is anything further we can do to keep you connected please do get in touch.
We have procedures in place to care for any individual resident suspected of COVID-19 infection. Including reassuring and comforting the resident and working to control the spread of infection.
We have a well-trained staff team who are equipped to recognise symptoms and monitor temperatures and other vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate to enable us and external healthcare practitioners to support our residents according to their needs.
We look forward to seeing you all again.
Hello to all at St.John's,
You are so extra special now coping with such
a demanding situation in all your care vocations.
Can't imagine how tiring extra vigilance must be
and keeping up to speed with what to do and not to
do. Have been thinking about the Home a lot but
refrain from asking Mum sensitive questions.
All my very BEST WISHES to each and everyone,
I know the best that can be done will be done.
Blessings,
Diane
